automation running twice

I have an automation that is triggered upon transition. The issue is that it runs twice for no reason, but if I run the same automation manually, it runs once. Why??

Hi @Saira

Would you please post images of your complete automation rule and of the audit log details showing both executions?  That may provide some context for what is happening.

Please also look at the issue history and complete audit log to learn if any other automation rules are running against the issue.

Until those images are posted...you note the rule is triggered on an issue transition.  How are you triggering that manually?  I believe manual triggering is only possible with Manual and Scheduled triggers.

Kind regards,
Bill

yes, same automation with manual trigger works just fine - there's something wrong in the transitional code of the backend I think. I changed the logic to work on a different trigger and it works now.
