hello guys,

i thought that my intention should be rather simple but i can't find a proper way to create a graph as descriped below

i want to have a graph in which i see the bug count per day in the backlog over the past 30 days. this information should be presented in a bar graph and i want to have it on my dashboard. maybe i'm just blind but for now i did not find an answer to this...

can some jira wizard help me? :D

greetings

jan

I think I can help you in this:

1. You can first Install a charting add-on in JIRA that allows you to create graphs.
2. Go to your JIRA dashboard where you want to see the graph.
3. Create a new graph and choose the type "bar graph".
4. Tell the graph to show the number of bugs per day in the backlog for the past 30 days.
5. Customize the graph's appearance and colors if you want.
6. Save the graph and add it to your JIRA dashboard.
7. Now you should see a bar graph on your dashboard that shows the number of bugs per day in the backlog for the past 30 days.
8.Remember to refresh the graph regularly to keep the data up to date.

By following these steps and using a charting add-on, you can easily create and view a bar graph showing the bug count per day in the backlog over the past 30 days on your JIRA dashboard.

Hope this will help you, have a great day ahead! :)

Hi @Jan Heinemeier,

If you want to display the new bugs per day, you can use the Jira native gadget Recently Created Chart.

if you can to display the cumulative number or bugs per day, then you can use the Cumulative Flow Chart (CFD) gadget offered by our Great Gadgets app.

This app offers many other gadgets that you might find useful. Just take a look on our blog.

Thank you,
