can i restore jira old backup from linux machine as jira GUI is not running

Hi all,

Jira H2 db file get corrupted and jira is not able to make connection hence jira web page is not loading. logs says i need to take recovery of db.

 

Can anyone tell me is this possible to restore jira from backend.

Rajneesh,

Previously, did you make any backups on Jira? You will need to recover from that.

Please note that the H2 database should only have been used for your test instance. Once completed testing we recommend you to migrate to an external database.

yes default backup for jira in import directory is available but how can we restore using that one, i did previously on jira gui but no idea how to do it on backend

Rajneesh,

I would do a fresh Jira installation and restore it that way. You'll want to make sure you're already set up on the external database first.
