Hello all,
I'm trying to create a "Select List (cascading)" type field in a company managed project.
I can't see the option to add parent / child fields during the configuration of the field.
what am I doing wrong during the configuration of the field?
Hello @Inbar Doron
Have you tried the same action in another browser application or a private browser window?
Do other Site Admins have the same experience?
thank you for your response.
I tried in Edge and Chrome browsers.
not sure yet if other admins have the same issue, but if I can create the field itself, why should there be a permission issue with selecting parent-child values?

I am not suggesting that there is a permissions issue.
If other Site Admins don't have the same problem, that suggest that the problem is specific to you. That could be related to the browser you are using, extensions enabled in your browser, your browser cache, your computer....
I just tried the same action myself in my own Jira Cloud instance, and I actually had the same experience - the pop up where we enter name and description for the field does not show any entry options for entering the select list values. I don't remember the last time I tried to create a cascading selection list, so I can't honestly say if this is different behavior.
Based on this documentation, it seems like this is expected behavior, and you need to add the selection list items after initially creating the field.

thank you very much :)
I'll check out the directions for creating the field in the link you added.
