We updated recently to Jira Core 8.5.1.
I can edit versions within the project configuration.
But I cannot assign those versions to the affected version field of each issue.
It is simply not editable. I tried several administrative settings, but without success.
Hello @Jens Kraushaar
Can you look if the field is correctly added to the edit screen ?
Hope this helps
Yes, I can easily see the field ... but I cannot select anything ... the drop-down is not working.

Do you have version in the release tab of your project ? Make sure that they are not archived.
Does it work in other projects?

Yes, indeed. I have configured two versions.
The funny thing is, that older projects (created within a older version of Jira Core) are working fine.

Finally I found now the solution.
Jira set a new screen for each new project automatically (for any reason) instead of using the default screen.
And in this new screen, the version is not editable.
At least one issue solved ...
