changing product URLs

If we change the product URL, won't this break internal links, and customer bookmarks?  Is there a way to ask for both URLs to work (or for one hostname to redirect to the new hostname)?

yes, by default the old URL would still work, and redirects to the new

@Brian Beckham Atlassian does not do redirects to the new site.
