Hi,
i was asked to look an issue. on the backlog board view, under the sprints, items that are closed + resolved (either done/invalid/not fix..) appear. they dont appear if they are not in a sprint. also, the closed status is mapped on the last column.
i thought maybe its the resolution, but its defined. i thought maybe its the column mapping, but the status exists in the last column. (there are unmapped statuses. could this affect?)
there is a Done status in the flow, that isnt the final state, but i dont know that Done is a special name status, also it doesnt seem to hold any difference than the other statuses in its transitions or status properties.
i want items that are closed + resolved to not appear under the backlog view.
any thoughts what could be the reason why they still appear?
You are right about the resolution and that "done" is not a "special name status" (although that's a good guess, and it's good logic that got you there, it is actually wrong - there's no special status).
The important thing is, as you've also spotted, the columns. For an issue to be done, and hence not appear in backlogs etc, it must be in the last column of the board. (Not one of the last n columns, not a status that is categorised as done, not even resolved - none of those matter. It's the last column on the board.)
Can you confirm that these issues are all in a status that is mapped into the last column?
@Nic Brough -Adaptavist- thanks for the answer. they are indeed in the last column. there are other statuses that arent mapped, so they appear in another section to the right of the last column, but yes, the closed status is mapped to the last column on the board.

Sorry, missed the response emails.
The only other I can think of is to check if it has any sub-tasks that are not in the last column as well?

No worries @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- @i appreciate that you take the time to comment :
So you mean, if an issue is closed but it has subtasks issues open, then it will still appear? Ill check it out
