create issue screens not showing all fields

Cristina Santamaria June 20, 2024

I have noticed recently that when we "create" an issue, instead of all the fields showing on the screen, we are now seeing "more fields (n)"

I think this might have been a change in JIRA, I am fairly certain when I created and tested these screens, all fields always showed up.

Is there a way to force it to show all the fields? Though they are not strictly "required", if the users don't see them, they will skip them (yes, sometimes clicking on a link is just one click too many), and there is relevant data needed in those fields.

thank you

Cristina

@Cristina Santamaria Do you have an active license ? If so, you might want to contact atlassian support @ support.atlassian.com

Hello @Cristina Santamaria

Can you provide a screen image of what you see? I don't seem to be having the same experience.

This is a new feature that Atlassian has been rolling out since some time in April (or earlier).

You can find it in the weekly blog post under the heading

Hide unused fields when creating issues
