easy inheriting from epic to story/task

Hello

is it possible to use an environment variable to set a custom field in a story (inside a workflow step) with the value from its epic?

Something like new field --> default value = epic:fieldname

@Mauro Bennici You will need a third-party JIRA add-on like "Jira Miscellaneous Workflow Extensions" and can use the post-function "copy field to linked issues" on specific step/transition in your workflow.

A story/task is not a "linked issue" so that won't work.
