exporting and importing Jira issues with the attachments.

Yunus Kayamkhani March 12, 2024

We're looking to transfer all issues from one board to another, ensuring that nothing is left behind. This includes comments, sprint details, and crucially, attachments. Can you recommend the most reliable approach for this process to avoid any oversights?

If you want to transfer from one board to another, but the two boards are on the same Jira site, then you don't need export/import anything, do you realize that?

(In that case, the two boards have their own JQL filters, so you need either rewrite the filters or adjust the issues to match the filter of the target board and voila, they will instantly pop up there!)
