fixVersion for sub-tasks

Our JIRA board has filter query which fetches cards only based upon the fixVersion but the subtask we create cannot be assigned any fixVersion and it's set to None ideally it should be associated to the fixVersion of the story but it doesn't seem to be happening.

So is it possible to assign a fixVersion to the sub-task also and if yes how do we do that coz I don't see that option itself

Since sub-task doesn't have a fixVersion it doesn't show up on the JIRA Board is there any solution for this apart from removing the fixVersion from the filter query?

You are expecting the sub-task to inherit the fix version of its parent issue. This was once addressed here : 
Update fix version of subtasks automatically

If it is during creation then we have below suggestion :

• Fix Version is not Copied to Subtask when Creating Subtask.

Could you please go to the project settings -> screens -> subtask -> edit screen and verify the Fix Versions field?

If I go to  project settings -> screens -> 

After this I see some epic schema story schema and sub-task schemas but no any such options to edit screen

Under sub-task I do see some Sub-task Screen Scheme

Create Issue  Sub-task Screen

Edit Issue  Sub-task Screen

View Issue  Sub-task Screen
