Hello,
I have missed to set the "Resolution" for "Done" status in workflow. What is the way I can get the date each ticket was marked done reflected as the resolution date in jira ?
I have now set the resolution for Done status. If I publish the workflow, would it be possible that "Done" status date will set as resolution date for all the existing tickets which have that workflow?
Thanks in advance!
No, the publish will only make the workflow effective. It will not alter the existing issues.
The only way I know to set the resolution date is to move through workflow or bulk edit. Neither approach would match your request because:

Thanks @Bill Sheboy for your response. I understand this limitation. But how can mark "Resolved" to the issues which are already "Done"?
Currently all Done issues have "Resolution" as "Unresolved" which I need to rectify.
Is there any way?

Hi Amruta,
If you have Script Runner for Jira, it has a page named "Bulk Fix Resolutions". You should have a filter that includes issues you want to change the resolution and saved it, then you should select on Bulk Fix Resolutions menu in Script Runner, and choose the new resolution you want to set.
Please see the screenshots below;
If you do not have "Script Runner for Jira", you can get it in free trial for this operation.

Thank you @Burak Kaya for this solution. I will give it a try for this. I don't have script runner but as you have suggested, i will do this on trial version.
