Team managed projects do not use the concept of screens (lists of fields to use in different circumstances).  A field is presented on create and edit actions, there's no difference.

There's no "work around", because there's nothing to work around here.

If you need to do this, you need to use a project type that supports it - move to a company managed project.

Hello @Roopa

As far as I am aware of the features of Team Managed Projects, it does not have separate screens for Create, Edit and View options for an issue type.

In order to add a new custom field for an issues type, please follow the below steps:

  • From your project's sidebar, select Project settings > Issue types.
  • Select the issue type you want to edit.
  • Under Create new field, select and drag the type of field you want to create.
  • Select the appropriate are to drop the filed
  • Name the field. Configure any extra field options, like adding a description for your team or setting a default value, if required.
  • Select Save changes.

Kindly let me know if there are any follow-up questions.

Please accept the answer if this helps resolve your query.

@Gaurav i have already created the custom field.. thats not an issue, but the requirement here is that this field should be visible only to the person who is creating the issue.. any workaround for that in team managed project?

Hello @Roopa

Unfortunately, there is no workaround possible for this. An alternate would be to convert the project from Team Managed to Company Managed project.
