Hello,
I would like to know if it is possible to block the "Account" field for editing.
Currently, we have an automation to set this field according to the type of issue selected.
This exists because of the need to extract reports for the finance area to generate project value.
Our users end up editing this field and getting it incorrectly in the reports.
Our idea is to lock the field "account" so that it is no longer possible to change it after the automation has been set.
this "Account" field belongs to the "Timesheet" plugin.
Today my "Account" field is only on the preview screen. What happens is that when I go to record hours, this "account" field allows the exchange of information.
Hi @Layssa Souza and welcome to the community.
Yeah, you can remove the field from Edit and Create screens by navigating to <YOUR_JIRA_SITE>/plugins/servlet/project-config/<YOUR_PROJECT_KEY>/screens.
If you keep the field on the view screen users will be able to see the value but won't change them.
Cheers,
Alex
Hi @Alex
Thanks for the quick response, however, I don't think I made the question so clear.
The truth is that this "Account" field belongs to the "Timesheet" plugin.
Today my "Account" field is only on the preview screen. What happens is that when I go to record hours, this "account" field allows the exchange of information.
Cheers,
Layssa Souza.

It makes sense now, apparently, the Tempo configuration has the Account as part of the Work Attributes. On my test site, I did not have it but I added to simulate:

Hi @Alex ,
This is the field I need to lock in! As I have an automation behind it, users cannot change this field, and for that reason I need to lock it.
I still can't figure out a way to stop it.

Give a try on the Tempo Configuration:

Hi @Alex ,
Thanks for your support!
I verified with Atlassian and apparently it is not possible to carry out this action.
Thank you!
