hello folks,
we have a bunch of open source projects on GitHub but we keep the issue tracker on a private Jira instance. We want to change that and open the issue tracker. We use next-gen projects so we tried creating a new project, set it for 'public' access.
Unfortunately it seems like this new next-gen project cannot be viewed without authentication. What do we need to do in order to have a Jira next-gen project visible and its epics, issues, etc readable from anonymous browsers sessions?
thanks
Hello Stefano,
Thank you for getting in touch with Atlassian Community!
Currently, it's not possible to set a next-gen project for people outside the instance since we can't manage the permissions. We have a feature request suggesting the implementation of this ability:
Please, click on vote and watch in order to hear about updates on the development cycle.
Regards,
Angélica
@Angélica Luz for JIRA cloud , can we flip company managed projects for public view?
Also how would the access for external users work? Would we get charged for every user that created an atlassian account to create issues in our project?
Also came across this https://www.atlassian.com/software/views/open-source-license-request - would you suggest to move to this instead?
