i need to upgrade my jira version 7.2.1 to latest version do i need to upgrade using obr file

for upgrading jira version 7.2.1 to latest one, should i go for downloading a obr file and install in it in application GUI or download an .bin installer file and install it in the backend

Thanks.currently i am having Jira core 7.2.1 i want to upgrade to latest.

if i upgrade from jira core to jira software through front end by downloading obr file, can i use the jira software features?

But if you want to install Jira Software on Jira core 7.2.1, then you should download Jira Software 7.2.1. If you want to have the latest version of Jira Software, then you need to update Jira Core 7.2.1 to the latest version first by downloading .bin file.
