importing csv file with comments , the commentor name importing as user name.

I tried to import with comments in JIRA but the commentator name showing as user name. who is imposing the issue. how to import the commentor name as existing Comment author name

You need to change the way you are importing comments. Instead of 3 columns for comment body, comment date, and commenter_name, all comment information is in a single column, with one column per comment imported. So if you had two comments for a ticket, you would have two columns each called "comment".

 

Each column should look like the example below, IE - "<commentdate>;<commentauthor>;<commentbody>"

"01/01/2012 10:10;<your email address or Atlassian account ID>; This comment works"

I have only one comment as below

09/May/23 8:42 AM;AAID1;[~accountid:AAID2] [~accountid:AAID3] - The final document to update is attached. 

if User name of AAID1 is John Smith, how can we get the comment like as if commented by John Smith, than the importer who is the Admin.

Even after leaving the format duringCSV as dd/MMM/yy h:mm, it is still showing the Admin as Commentor, than the actual commentor. Any thoughts?
