Hello community!

While editing screens, I tried to add a field tab to it. After adding the field tab, somehow I got this error:

The Jira server was contacted but has returned an error response. We are unsure of the result of this operation.

Also now I not able to open custom fields section.

I already searched for this problem. Could this be the same problem within the database?

Which SQL-query should determine the bad entry?

Sorry to hear you are facing this problem.

Checking other similar tickets describing the same error, I believe you are being impacted by a database inconsistency between your custom fields and their respective screens, however, I was not able to find any relation between the error in the custom field page and the one triggered with the creation of screen tabs. Can you confirm if you have added any custom field in your screen tabs?

That being said, I would recommend you to try the following steps:

1 - Try to remove the tab from your screen and check if the problem persists

- Run the integrity checker for "Check field Layout Scheme", letting us know if it returned any errors

- Try to reindex your instance, making sure you are doing it in time with lower activity

Let me know the results you got from this.

so the problem is however solved. Not sure what happened.

Also adding a field tab doesn't cause any error.

If I'm facing the error again or investigating the solution for this, I will let you know.
