I tried to modify a description of a custom field and the configuration but it doesn't work

I can't see any error messages (pictures are low detail level). How do you notice, that the description does not change?

I haven't got any errors and I don't know what is wrong

Is it like that:

• you alter the description of a custom field and save it
• the new description is correctly displayed at the custom field edit page
• the new description does not show upon an issue

If this is the case, please run the re-indexer.

I ran the re-indexer but the description is not updated

I can't really help. Can you please provide more details. With which custom field type did this happen? Have you tried to reproduce with a new custom field (create, then alter the description)? You tagged your question with "server" and "jira-software-server". Which version do you use?
