jira.permission.work.denied hides existing worklogs

Tamas Csabina August 18, 2020

Hi,

We are blocking worklogs on Closed issues with the "jira.permission.work.denied" property as described at https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/how-to-restrict-log-work-on-a-specific-status-834225982.html

However this also hides the existing worklogs (and I only see the total spent), which is not wanted. I want to see who spent time on a ticket, even if it Closed and noone can add or edit worklogs.

We are using Tempo Timesheet for hour logs.

If there is no way to show those worklogs if jira.permission.work.denied is used, what other options I have to prevent new worklogs (and not hide existing ones!) on Closed tickets?

Tamas,

where don´t you see the existing worklogs? In the activity tab? Unless something has changed from Atlassian side I would consider this as a bug.

Hi Alexander,

Between the 'Attachments' and the 'Activity' sections there is the 'Tempo' section, which lists all the worklogs.

This 'Tempo' section becomes hidden, whenever I Close the issue.

On the right side there is the 'Time tracking' section with 'Estimated', 'Remaining' and 'Logged'. That is still visible, but does not list the actual worklogs, only the sum.
