jira plugin

1.when we install a plugin manually using GUI in Jira 7 , where the plugin gets saved and is there any configuration file update done.

2.is there a way we can manually download all the jar/obr files and place it in Linux server and plugins start working.

Yes, Once you will install a plugin manually from GUI the plugin is saved in <JIRA_HOME>/plugins/installed-plugins directory.

If you want then you can place your .jar/obr file to the same above place to get it to work.

thanks , just placing the files in directory will work or should we add any entry in any of the configuration files

Not required.

Once you place the .jar file to the respective directory from the GUI you can configure it.

Yes, you are right but some of the add-ons like eazyBI, after installing this addon for using the functionality of it you need to do the configuration.

 That will depends on the add-ons and their functionality some of the add-ons requires configuration and some of are not.
