Hi,
- I have a jira project when you create a new issue an email is sent out to the submitter of the new issue that is created.
I would like to send that same template email to a specified email distribution.
Is there a way to do that?
Hi @Gavin
If the email distribution contains emails from different domains, you could follow this approach
Create a group and add them to the site but not Jira Software (Or you could create multiple groups if you have different distributions)
create global automation with a scope limited to the project (you can choose it on the rule details page)
Choose a Trigger "Issue Created"
And send an email and you need to choose the group which you just created
Thanks,
Pramodh
thanks for the response. What I'm asking for is to send the email generated from jira itself about a new issue to specified recipients and not just the user who has created the issue.
The workflow automation that is being suggested is great but it doesn't allow for using the jira email template.
You essentially have to create it.

Hi Gavin,
We support this in Notification Assistant for Jira

Thanks for the reference. I was looking for it in the built in solution. Since adding something that is already there with an addition isn't desired.
