Hello everyone,

Today we faced a problem with JIRA: http://skynet.aurelius.pro:8080/

Everything workedfine up to last Friday, nothing has changed during weekend on the host (we use VPS from OVH), today this is dead.

Everywhere in logs I got:

Apr 15 17:44:44 vps608733 confluence[743]: ERROR: ld.so: object '/usr/local/lib/libpamcd.so' from /etc/ld.so.preload cannot be preloaded (cannot open shared object file): ignored.
Apr 15 17:44:44 vps608733 atlbitbucket[742]: ERROR: ld.so: object '/usr/local/lib/libpamcd.so' from /etc/ld.so.preload cannot be preloaded (cannot open shared object file): ignored.

I tried to update, upgrade, google for this  "libpamcd.so" library - nothing helpful.

Any ideas? Many thanks in advance!

Hi Kurt,

I fight with this all day long today and probably this is a very bad infection at almost kernel level. I have no idea how this is happened, we're finding out.

But this is not related to Jira at all, nor the server configuration.

@Robert Kuryłowicz

I was afraid that it is something like that, but wanted to check nevertheless. Hope you will manage to get the system in a healthy state again

All the best

Kurt
