I just wanted to have a project management tool to work with my friends together but it didn't work :(
Hi Ahmad , thank you for your answer. Is it possible to migrate it from my localhost to an external server and how and where can i do it? I am a noob and as a start I just wanted to use the jira for private management but with user which are not in my network.
Hi there, Atilim.
As of now, I believe that the JIRA instance is being hosted locally on your instance (since you mentioned localhost:8080) and there is no proxy being configured to allow outbound access from other machines unless they are connected within the same network and have the proxy IP of the hosting machine configured under the /etc/hosts file.
May I know if you have a networking team on your end that can assist you with this? A good start to this will be to check on the How to Configure an Outbound HTTP and HTTPS Proxy for JIRA applications. Test it out internally within the network to verify that other machines can connect to your instance first before moving to external user access.

Hi, Atilim.
You are welcome. Yes, it is possible as I have mentioned through the usage of proxy which you need to configure in front of JIRA to allow inbound connection from users outside of the network.
If you do not have resources to go through that, I would suggest the following options:
Let me know how it goes on your end.
