negative search, find bugs that isn´t in a certain status

Hey

I want to do a search for issues where i can say, this project and issuetype = bug and status is not closed or resolved. I cant get this to work.

Is not doesnt work with status but is there any other way i can do this search?

project = myproject and issue = bug and status not in (closed, resolved)
