when i am trying to close the sprint i am getting the error as per the below screenshot
but all these three stories(909, 915, 887) have been moved manually to the backlog. How can i close the sprint?
Please verify that no sub-tasks of these issues exist in the sprint. Check the status of all sub-tasks.
Try removing the sprint from all sub-tasks. You can use bulk edit.

So you are saying that the sprint field for all of the sub tasks is empty correct?

Have you moved the stories and their sub tasks in the backlog manually ? The error suggests that there are few subtasks which are incomplete, which might be child of your stories. By any chance, If the subtasks are still in the sprint and are in progress status, then the error you are seeing is likely.

i have moved the stories manually which automatically moves all the sub task.. so there is nothing incomplete in sprint.. in fact it says 100% sprint completed

Ok great, now if you click on Complete Sprint, ideally the sprint should get completed without any errors.

May be you can try closing the subtasks and see if you can complete the sprint after that. If that works just reopen the subtasks again if at all you want to work on them.

there are 3 stories with too many subtasks.. closing everything manually wont be a feasible option.. moreover this is not a one time glitch.. have faced this earlier as well.. i had to delete and recreate the stories and tasks last time to close the sprint.. but this is not possible every time.. so trying to figure out a solution for this

I can understand the pain. As a workaround for now, you can close the subtasks in bulk and complete the Sprint. I would recommend raising a case with Atlassian Support to troubleshoot if this is a bug/glitch and advise a solution.
