I am simply needing a way to evaluate the "due date" field in Jira to return historical values for a given issue/user story and possibly the user that made the change.

Hello @Stanley Burgess

Welcome to the Atlassian community!

Jira doesn't have a built-in report to display history entries for an issue other than the History tab in the issue details screen.

There is also not a native JQL function that will let you search for issues where the Due Date field has been changed.

You would need one or more third party apps to satisfy both of these requirements. Are you open to getting such apps?

It's a shame that this isn't available out of the box, because the ChangeHistoryManager would pretty much solve this request

Hi @Stanley Burgess

What is your hosting type?

Basically, you can see the "due date" changes on a single issue level while opening each issue: Activity → History.

If you are a Cloud user, I'd like to suggest Issue History for Jira, as it will provide the information you need. You can filter issues by numerous options: project, sprint, assignee, date range, etc. And by the person who made the changes.

Add the "due date" to the table columns, and you will get a report like this:

If you are unsure if it works for you, you can check it with a 30-day free trial.
The app is developed by my SaaSJet team.
