"Syntax error, unrecognized expression" when pasting specific text into Summary for new Issue

In Jira v8.5.3, I've got error when creating new Issue by pasting some specific error mesasage from other software:

VuOverSpeedingEventRecord Gen2: failed to parse FullCardNumber: failed to parse CardNumber: unreadable string character 0x1f at offset+0

This resulted in this error:

Hi Tadas,

I see that you are getting an error when trying to create issues on a Jira Software board.  Sorry to hear this.  I did some research on this particular error.  While I have not found any existing bugs about this error, all the other cases I found about this seem to be caused by a local environmental difference.

It seems that in at least 2 cases I found, this error could be caused by a custom script in your Jira environment.  This could exist in the Announcement Banner or it could also exist within a field description (of any field that might appear in that view/issue type).

To try to learn more about this problem I have some steps for you:

1. First check to see if you have any scripts in the Announcement Banner, if you do, see if you can temporarily copy and remove these to see if you can reproduce the problem.
2. Please run the following SQL queries in your database
   

   select * from fieldconfigscheme where description like '%<script%' OR description like '%<SCRIPT%';
   
   select * from customfield where description like '%<script%' OR description like '%<SCRIPT%'; 
   
   select * from customfield where description like '047avascript%' OR description like '%html%' OR description like '%css%';
   
   select * from fieldconfiguration where description like '047avascript%' OR description like '%html%' OR description like '%css%';
   

If any of those four queries return results, then it seems likely your field configuration here might have been customized to include some additional javascript or script that could be affecting this board behavior in a bad way.

If those queries return no results then it seems unlikely there is a script in a field configuration here to cause this.  And a third option to try to troubleshoot this would be to try to disable all the other user plugins in Jira (except the Jira Software/Jira Agile because you'll need that to use boards here) in order to see if this problem can be recreated.  If it cannot, then that could help point us in the direction of one of the plugins as causing this behavior.

Try this and let me know the results.

So far, Announcement Banner is empty, and all queries return zero rows. I'll try find plugin which might produce this issue.

I can no longer reproduce this issue, it just dissapeared. If this will repeat again, I'll try disabling plugins to see if that helps.
