We're implementing Zendesk, and I'm updating quite a few JIRA projects to add a post action for the transition(s) to Done status, to update Zendesk. I've done this successfully for a few of our JIRA projects.
However, for some projects, when I go to edit the workflow, I get something like:
"Generated by JIRA Software version 7.1.9-D20151208T191112. This workflow is managed internally by JIRA Software. Do not manually modify this workflow."
I checked the Columns settings for the board for that specific project, and we are not using simplified workflow.
What steps do I need to take to be able to update those workflow transitions?
Hi @Regis Eloi
Sounds like you might be using the Jira Default workflow for some of your projects. Make a copy of that workflow and assign it to the projects using the Default workflow. You will be able to make changes to the copy.
Thanks Kimberley. I believe that these warnings in the workflow descriptions were in fact leftovers from when some initial work was done to generated simplified workflows. Once we copied them, ages ago probably, and they were no longer simplified workflows, no one ever updated the descriptions.
In other words, that warning/statement is no longer relevant for those workflows and I was able to go ahead and make my changes.
