Hi,

I've been getting the

You must link this task to a project using Epic Link field.

error when creating sub-tasks in a project. I've checked screens, permissions, field configuration and more and still getting the error. What am I missing?

Hi @Ahmad Sidawi

What Issue Type are you creating these Sub-tasks under?

A screenshot of the error might be beneficial here.

Is this Work Management of Software? And is it Company-managed or Team-managed?

Hi @Ahmad Sidawi

I would check Epic Link isn't a mandatory field during creation.

Usually this is via a Workflow Condition or Validator, on the create transition of the Workflow which your Sub-task uses.

If there is one, either remove it, or duplicate the Workflow and remove it from there, then assign the new Workflow to Sub-tasks.

Let us know if this works!

The workflow, thanks! Checked that and it was a condition

I've also checked issue hierarchy and issue types. Its only happening in one specific project.
