Hi All,
We have a requirement where a user wants to know like the generated report contains who are the user or user group how much they have worked on a issue which we can capture in a report . Can we categorize like they belong to particular department and that shows up in the report.
Eg :
Group1:User A --Belong to Marketing Department
User B ->Belong to Functional Operation department
Can you please guide on this.
Regards,
Suma
Do you have a field to capture what department someone belongs to?
You could create a dashboard showing what people and what department have worked on a ticket, but I don't think you'd be able to correlate the two.
E.G. Users A B and C worked on the issue. Marketing and Functional Operation worked on the ticket - but there would be no way of knowing whether A, B or C worked in Marketing..
A potential workaround would be to add the department name to a user's name e.g. 'Liam - Marketing'

Hi Liam,
We do not have field to capture. Is it feasible to create a new field called department and add it to existing project.. Also note that user are already created and are in sync with AD so do not have option to edit username.

Suma

Hi Suma
You could add it to an existing project, yes - but it would have the limitations as listed above.
You would need a multi checkbox field.
