status changed to closed during does not work post JIRA upgrade to 7.11

Vishal Mallick December 27, 2018

Hi,

We recently migrated to JIRA 7.11 and one of my search filter is now not working as before.

project = "xyz" AND status in (Closed) AND type = RCA AND status changed to closed during (2018-01-01, 2018-12-31)  AND "T3 Owner" = abc ORDER BY updated DESC, priority DESC

Earlier it used to fetch me all the JIRA tickets based on the condition but right now it is only fetching 7 records not sure what changed with the migration.

Any help is highly appreciable.

Regards,

Vishal

Try after reindexing the project, it might fix the issue

Vishal Mallick December 31, 2018

Hi Team,

This has certainly not helped, even after multiple re-indexing, the issue still persist also with each re-indexing it is taking hours (10 hrs) to finish re-indexing. Can we get some help on how we can resolve this as this is hampering our project planning and day to day work.

We are currently facing issues after our JIRA upgrade  v6.3 to v7.11, here is the list of issues that are currently being faced by our team. These are as follows:

  1. JIRA code formatting is not working eg. {code} {code}
  2. JIRA JQL seems to be not working for following filters.

Eg: project = "Project" AND status in (Closed) AND type = RCA AND status changed to closed during (2018-01-01, 2018-12-31) AND "T3 Owner" = xxxx ORDER BY updated DESC, priority DES

&

“project = xxx AND (fixVersion = "xxx.0 Release" OR "PM Target Release" = xxx OR fixVersion = "xxxx") AND ("Doc: RN New Features Status" in ("Awaiting Start", "In Progress", Unknown, EMPTY) OR "Doc: RN Resolved Issues Status" in ("Awaiting Start", "In Progress", Unknown, EMPTY)) AND Status = Closed AND issueType not in (Testing, "Testing (Subtask)", "Bug Task", Sub-task, Task) ORDER BY key ASC”

Is returning wrong results in spite of doing re-indexing multiple times.

    3. The comment toolbar is not showing up in the comment section.

Data in the structured query gets corrupted more often, Re-indexing the project did not help much

Re-indexing is taking longer time (day by day)

If we can get one of the technical team to get on a call and get this looked into, I would be happy to facilitate a call with my team (Operative).

Also @Vishal Mallick, Did you check if all the plugins that are available in previous version are enabled in the latest version? Make sure all plugins are available/supported and enabled in the current version as well
