We have received notification on "checklist" control that, checklists with enterprise edition can be used until October 30, 2024. So, wanted to confirm if this feature will be disabled once we delete INACTIVE projects. Also, for the projects that are still ACTIVE, need your guidance on how we move forward with the "Checklist" control.
Do we need to raise a separate ticket for same or is there any other way to keep "checklist" control working for ACTIVE projects.
Also, once we ARCHIVE any project, the related checklist items also get ARCHIVED, or we need to handle it separately.
Can you share which Checklist app you use in your Jira instance? Checklists are not natively supported by Jira (only checkbox type of fields), and the answer to your question depends on what app is in use.
Cheers,
Wojciech
Checklist for Jira Free Item Limit (herocoders.com)
As of October 1, 2024, we're enabling a limit of 10,000 checklist items per Jira instance for Checklist for Jira | Free. Your current item count of 30,103, which is calculated daily, exceeds this limit. To avoid being blocked from creating new checklist items, please remove some items or upgrade to Checklist for Jira | Pro or Checklist for Jira | Enterprise. Thanks for using our Checklist app!

@SUVARNA Dixit
Hi, sorry about the delay, I was on vacation.
To make sure you can still create new checklist items tomorrow, you need to either upgrade to one of the other apps (all data is preserved, you just need to uninstall Free and Install Pro or Enterprise, and recreate checklist workflow validators if you use any).
Alternatively, you can delete excess checklist items to keep them under the 10,000 limit. To do so, please follow this guide: Bulk deleting checklists across multiple issues
In step 6 of this guide, you can alter the JQL query to only include completed items, like this:
"Checklist Text[Paragraph]" is not empty and statusCategory != Done
Just keep in mind two things:
I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions.
Cheers!
