HI Team,
jira 8.2.5 where to find exact branch of bug
Thanks
kunal
Hi Kunal,
can you elaborate?
Jira itself doesn't know branches. So, do you mean a git branch? On a connected Bitbucket Server?
If you mean this:
You have a Jira issue of type "Bug" and want to know in which Git branch on a repository on Bitbucket that Bug is being fixed...
Then: The branch should be automatically displayed on your Jira issue's screen (on the right side; as link).
This requires both Jira connected to Bitbucket and Bitbucket connected to Jira.
If you mean something else: Can you be a little more specific?
Kind regards
Ingo
The issue view of a Jira issue shows Git Commits, Branches and Pull Requests that are linked to the that issue.
If there's no branch linked, no branch is displayed.
The best way to link a branch to a Jira issue is to create the branch right out of the Jira issue. If you create the branch yourself, you can include the Jira issue KEY in the branch name. This should also link the branch to the issue.
