Recurring task in Jira

Hannah Weintraub April 25, 2022

Hi there,

I'd like to set up a recurring task on my project board so that once a project is moved to done/completed, it resets to "To do". I am hoping to do this so we don't need to create a new ticket each time the ticket is done/finished. How would I go about doing that?

Hi, @Hannah Weintraub As an alternative for this case, you can try to use the add-on Business Process Manager, developed by my team.

Here you can automize tasks and run processes in one click. It allows to create customized Templates and set a schedule. So, BPM will create issues regularly.

Hi @Hannah Weintraub

There are plenty of great apps on the Marketplace. I'd recommend to test two or three and choose one the best fit your requirements.

Scheduled Templates is designed by my team but feel free to test any other ready-to-use solution available on the Marketplace.

Hey @Hannah Weintraub ,

First you would of course need to make sure that that issue/task can be moved back to "to do" manually.

If that is ok, then I'd suggest to create an Automation (which comes standard with Jira Cloud these days)
