Releasing done column with fix version

We recently just switched our board to be Kanban, when I try and release the "done" column I noticed I need to select a release version. However, tickets in the done column all have different fix versions. If I release this column, will all existing tickets be overwritten with the new fix version? How can I avoid this?

Quentin Bellégo [Valiantys] Thanks but won't all the fix versions that are currently tied to the ticket get over written or no? I understand how to move them from done but I need to keep the old fix versions.

You just need to set existing fix version as "Released" and the issues will disappear from Kanban board.
