I would like to remove / hide the archived stories from the Board Backlog view.

Any suggestions?

Many thanks.

It's in the backlog because you have configured it to be there.

You are doing most of this right.  Your last post tells us "archived" is a status, and it's in the "done" status category.  Your original question shows it is struck out, so the resolution is working.

So I think the missing piece is going to be the board definition, as that is the thing that defines the backlog.  Items are shown as in the backlog if they are not in the "done" column, which Jira Software sees as "the right most column on the board".  So, either you have to have "archived" mapped into that column, OR you do not map it at all.  Either of those cases will drop your archived issues out of the backlog.

Thanks for the advice, it worked perfectly!

Hi,

Thanks for your feedback. "Archived" for deemed out of scope. The status is set as DONE, I still don't get why it is showing in our backlog.

I don't get the "archived", but.. Looks like your workflow is pretty much broken...
I already saw this scenario when the resolution of the issue was not "cleaned" when the issue was reopened.
I suppose that this "archived" is a status, right? Did you make sure that it is in the done status category?

archived? what status are they in and where does that status fit into your board configuration. I see issues struck-thru and if they are done and released they certainly should not be in the backlog view.
