Hi admins !!
I am facing the following problem in Jira and need your advice to solve it.
Situation:
1) I have Team Managed Project with name: "Project A" and key: "PRA"
2) I have Company Managed Project with name: "Project B" and key: "PRB"
Use case:
I want to rename "Project A" to "Project C" and its key from "PRA" to "PRC"
And rename the "Project B" to "Project A" and its key from "PRB" to "PRA"
But in that case, Jira complains, that already renamed "Project C" uses the key "PRA", but in fact it uses "PRC" key.
So, is there an easy way to workaround this problem and rename the projects per my requirement ?
Thanks in advance
Arthur
Ok, it seems there is no way to use the same ID (PRA) unless I delete the "Project A".
Then another question:
I dont want to lose the data in "Project A". I need to copy the "Project A" with its data (tickets etc), then delete it.
Can you advice an easy way to copy a team managed project?
