I have two boards in Greenhopper (Sabertooth and Core). When I rename the current sprint in Sabertooth (from Sprint 6 to Sprint 5), it also renames the current sprint in Core to Sprint 5. This is not the desired behavior. The two boards are based on different projects within Jira - different filter names, etc.

We have Jira 5.1. and Greenhopper 6.0.6.

Yes the sprints were created separately. I have opened a ticket with Atlassian.

Sounds strange, you should be able to create numerous scrum boards all running at various tempos/teams.

Were the sprints created seperately in the planning board? If so sounds like a bug you should submit to support.atlassian.com
