Reoprting open issues by age in column

I am looking at creating a filter that will check the age of an issue when it has has been in a column for x number of days. is there a way to check a column?

Do you mean status when you say column?

I used https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.obss.plugin.time-in-status/server/overview for one of the clients to demonstrate the time an issue had stayed in a particular status.

OK so I am new to Jira, is this plug in a purchased product and how can I see if my company has been able to add it to the the product? Also since it is a plug in this cannot be done with the native product?

Using JQL is very complex to calculate elapsed time between status.
