Report date/time of status and workflow changes?

We use Jira to manage our software development projects. I have to generate a report that shows when a developer began work on the issue, when they completed work, when testing resources began testing, when an item has been moved back to failed, and when an item is fully completed and deployed. I see these changes in the Activity tab when viewing an issue, but I cannot find out how to add this data to a report or filter. I need to report on the date/times that the status and workflow changed. Any ideas?

I'd like to propose the solution - the add-on Issue History for Jira Cloud (link).

It shows the history of all changes that had been made with specific issues.

Plug-in allows:
- Get the changes log ordered by the date.
- Use filters to select issues list.
- Set columns to show different fields on the report grid.
- Apply custom date range to filter results.

At the Atlassian Marketplace you can get more information about the add-on and try the trial version of it.

if you want to have a nice and shiny version out of the box, you should probably get a marketplace app for that. I did a quick search with the term "status history" which seems to have some good results.

If you want to do it manually, I could think of two approaches:

• Every time you perform a transition, you could save the date/time in an extra field and then report on these fields.
• If you use an app like Scriptrunner, you could probably create a scripted field which extracts the information from the history and prepares it to you in the format you desire.

Hope this helps, maybe someone else has another good idea.
