Report showing Issues assigned to a specific user at some point in the process

How do I run a report of all the issues assigned to a specific user but not necessarily closed by that user? 

For instance, User1 creates an issue and assigns to User2, then User2 assigns to someone else, then all around the world before someone closes the issue.

How do I run a report that will give me that issue and others that at some point was assigned to User2?

Try using "assignee WAS" as below
