Reporting by date (and export)

How can I produce like the following, which I could then export to Excel:

Date | Critical | High | Medium | Low |

1st | 2 | 1 | 4 | 4 |

2nd | 5 | 6 | 2 | 5 |

3rd | 2 | 1 | 4 | 6 |

4th | 2 | 4 | 3 | 2 |

The table shows the number of a certain issue type (bugs) active on each day, sorted by priority.

Can this be done?

I was able to use the Two Dimensional gadget to create a screen that looks like this. Is it possible to show how many were active on each day - rather than the current amount? Can gadgets even be exported to Excel?
