Reporting on time spent for sub-tasks

Dave Cobb March 9, 2020

We are trying to report of time spent on individual sub-tasks per user.

The issue we have is that JIRA returns the combined time spent for a sub-tasks where multiple people have logged time on the same sub-task, regardless of user. We are using worklogAuthor to filter the results down to an individual.

Example (sub-task):

User A logs 2 hours
User B logs 1 hour
Time spent for User A returns 3 hours
Time spent for User B returns 3 hours

How has everyone worked around this issue?

Hello, Dave Cobb
I am developing a plugin for our company, it generates time reports. Seems this plugin will help you. It exactly does what you need, calculating time by users and sprints. If you are interested in this plugin I can share it with you. I made small site, to explain how it works https://simplereport.technology

Hi,

This type of report is possible with our app: AIO Reports and Timesheets for Jira

Documentation link:

Attached is a sample screenshot, and more advanced reporting is also possible with the app:
