Resolution should not be updated when issue transitions to 'Closed' status

As per our workflow an issues goes to Resolved state with resolution as either Fixed, Answered or Not an Issue. When the reporter verifies and closes the issue, the Resolution changes to 'Fixed'. How to configure jira so that the resolution remains unchanged when an issue is closed.

NOTE: On the 'close issue' screen, we don't have a resolution input field.
