Restore Problems

Kathy Plamann January 28, 2015

I am practicing restoring JIRA. I am using MS SQL Server database will full and log backups. I start with a backup of the database then I go into my JIRA site and I delete a project. Then I restore my JIRA  ms sql database. I go back into my JIRA site and my project is restored but none of the issues are restored. Why?

Also when I look at the Issues tab under Recent Issues I see the issues from the project that was deleted. I am assuming these recent issues are stored in cache. This is the server edition of JIRA 6.3.12

Thanks

Kathy

You need to re-index the system after restoring it.

Any time you make changes to Database, like configuration changes, updating add-ons and migrating datbases, performing re-index is a good practice.
