Restore stucks on reindexing!

I tried to restore backup at another server instance.

Restore run smothly till 96% in approx 20min then it hung(for now 4hours) and showing:

Indexing: Reindexing data...

Can I restart the service and the instance will run just without index?

Or should I wait on this till its through with indexing? Will it ever finish?

Server is doing something, I see heavy cpu activity.

I only need this instance to delete all projects except one to export it as a single project.
