Roadmap: When I add a new epic it does not appear on the board

When I try to add a new epic to my roadmap, it does not appear on the roadmap. Instead I get this message that I should adjust my board filters.

But on the Roadmap board I do not have the option in the upper right hand to edit any filters/settings as I do in my other boards like the Kanban board.

Ideally I would like to add an existing epic to my Roadmap, but I am not sure if this is currently possible.

Thanks in advance for your help

Hi @Sarah Hambridge Welcome to Atlassian Community.

Is this the roadmap on the next-gen project or classic project
(recently released) ?

If it's the roadmap on the classic project, you can navigate to the backlog (under roadmap) or Kanban board, on top right hit the 3 dots -> board settings -> general and edit the filter query to include the project D3ASIM or just this epic key to the filter.
