Hi,
I'm aware of the usual steps for rolling back a Jira Data Center upgrade (in short, restoring backups of the database, installation directory and home directory).
With regards to an upgrade from v8.10.x to v9.4.x, I'm aware of the new indexes that are created as part of this. If we had an unsuccessful upgrade and needed to roll back, is there anything specific with regards to the shared home we need to take into account?
Due to the size of this (attachments), it is not practical to make a backup of this. Therefore, are we able to roll an upgrade back without any changes to the shared home?
Thanks
Ben
Hey Ben,
pls have a look at:
Regards Ralf
Thanks for the links Ralf but neither of those refer to the shared home. I'll have backups of database, installation directory and application home directory but it's not practical to have a backup of the shared home.
(For info, the shares in the business are backed up but I wouldn't expect to use one of those in this scenario)
