We are trying to do a Round Robin Approval automation that will take users in a multi user picker and assign the ticket to them for approval. Once the user approves the ticket, they are removed from the Picker List and it assigns to the next user. Once all users are done approving. It then transitions to the next status.
Question I have is this, Has this been done before and if so does anyone have any insight on this?

If you`re ok with Jira plug-ins, use Business Process Manager for such a case.
My team has developed this add-on to speed up procedures, especially the Jira workflow approval process.
You can set a queue of the approvers, so, when the task is approved/rejected, it`ll assignee to the next user.
